Brooke Felker-Johnston has been with Leonard & Felker, P.L.C. since she started practicing law in 2003, but prior to that, she worked for the Firm as a law clerk. Brooke enjoys helping her clients in real estate, business law and especially estate planning and administration. She loves meeting her clients and developing a relationship to identify and satisfy each client's specific needs. Brooke's practice has allowed her to serve not only the current needs of her clients, but also to address her clients' future desires as related to families, loved ones, business partners, charities and so on in regard to the client's incapacity, special needs, and death. In fact, Brooke has had the honor of providing legal services to families spanning several generations, which is a testament to the trust they have in her and the level of personal service that she provides.

Brooke received her B.A. degree (Magna Cum Laude) in 2000 from the University of Arizona in political science with a pre-law focus, and her J.D. degree (Cum Laude) in 2003 from the University of Arizona Law School. Brooke was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 2003 and has been or is a member of the following State Bar Sections: Elder Law, Mental Health and Special Needs Planning, Probate and Trust, and Real Property. She is a member of the Pima County Bar Association. Brooke is admitted to practice in both the State and Federal Courts of Arizona.

Personal
Brooke was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Alex Johnston, owner of Epic Productions, L.L.C. They have two children and a Golden Labrador, Maya, whom they all adore. Brooke enjoys volunteering for various charitable organizations close to her heart. She loves baking, exercising (so she can do more baking) and spending time with her family doing pretty much anything, but especially traveling together.

Sidney Lex Felker is a founding Partner of Leonard & Felker, P.L.C. Sidney assists his clients with matters regarding wealth management and asset preservation, including the formation of business entities designed for efficient ownership by family members, including limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships. His practice deals with planning for Federal Income Tax and Estate and Gift Tax, such as designing various types of trusts for tax efficiency and private foundations to facilitate a client's charitable goals. Included in his clientele are a number of families and businesses for whom he has provided legal services since beginning his law practice in 1968, and which now include the third generation of family members.

Personal
Sidney was born on a small farm near the historic Civil War town of Corinth, Mississippi. His family moved to Tucson in 1954 where he attended local schools, elementary through his graduation from the University of Arizona School of Law. Sidney and Dianne, an Ohio girl, have four children, all raised in Tucson, and eight grandchildren. Sidney enjoys spending time with his wife, especially traveling together; he also enjoys time with his grandchildren, especially if it involves history, visiting museums, watching National Geographic programs – basically anything educational!

Personal
David was raised in New York City and moved to Tucson in 1958 to attend the University of Arizona. He and his wife, Judith, have lived in Tucson, Washington, D.C., London and California. They have three children and eighteen grandchildren in the U.S. and Israel. David enjoys traveling, celebrating festive meals and joyous occasions with family and friends, walking with his wife, learning Torah, history, and listening to music.

Donna M. Aversa has been with Leonard & Felker, P.L.C. since she started practicing law in 1987. Donna's passion is helping her business and government clients with a variety of employee related issues. She works with fire districts across Arizona, in addition to Civil Service/Merit
Commissions and Local Pension Boards. She represents her clients at administrative hearings, the Superior Court, and the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Donna enjoys working with her clients to solve problems, avoid unnecessary conflicts and risks, and resolve disputes. In fact, some of her clients she has been assisting for over two decades.

In addition to sending her to meetings and to Court, her fire service clients have sent her into a live burn simulator, put her on a 100-foot platform and sent her to firework shooter school. Thankfully, she still has all her fingers.
Donna is a presenter at the annual Arizona Fire District Association Conference and the Annual Pinal County Special Districts Meeting, and has presented at the International Association of Fire Chiefs' Fire Rescue International conferences. Her presentations regularly address employment issues, ethics and fiduciary duties, and open meeting laws.

James “Jim” Marvel has been assisting individuals with their personal estate planning for the majority of his long legal career, representing clients in the states of Arizona, California, and Iowa. He joined the firm Leonard & Felker, P.L.C. as “of counsel” and fits right into the culture of the Firm in assisting clients in a personal and dedicated manner.

Jim was admitted to practice at the State Bars of Iowa in 1973, California in 1987, and Arizona in 1992. Jim is a member of the Pima County Bar Association.

Personal
Jim was married to his late wife Judy in 1969. Together they have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Jim enjoys volunteer work that has included speaking and / or serving in various
volunteer roles with the Salvation Army, Family Life Radio, Interfaith Community Services, the N.W. Tucson YMCA and several other local churches and charitable organizations. He is a retired nationally certified youth soccer referee, instructor, and assessor. Jim enjoys biking and time spent with children and grandchildren.
